Roberta Wiseman Brown

Roberta Wiseman Brown, 73, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., died June 28, 2021, at her home. She was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and the gospel group, Gospeletts. She was a member of Rock of Ages Chapter #5 of the order of the Eastern Star and was a seamstress for Tipton Cleaners for over 30 years.

Visitation will be held at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church on July 9 from 3-4 p.m. Services will follow at 4 p.m. Rev. Joseph G. Cotton Jr. will officiate. Burial will be July 11 at Cottrell Memorial Garden Cemetery in Holly Springs. Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Mt. Auburn is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Henry Brown; three daughters, Dorothy Wiseman Lawrence, Velma Wiseman, both of Cape Girardeau, Verna Bogard Wiseman of Decatur, Ill.; one son, Floyd Gene Wiseman (Debra) of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Chester Wiseman (Cora) of Holly Springs, Willie Wiseman of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Rosetta Craine of Champaign, Ill.; 19 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and five great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles Lewis, Vertis Wiseman, James Wiseman, Cassell Wiseman, Charlie Wiseman; six sisters, Bertha Knoxx, Ophelia Brown, Clemmie Martin, Ida Wiseman, Mary Lee Wiseman, Minnie Pratt; two grandchildren, Oscar Wren and Zaelynn Wiseman.
