Ricky Norris Johnson

Ricky Norris Johnson, 59, of Holly Springs, died July 12, 2019, at his home. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Lamar.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on July 26 at Harris Chapel MB Church. Dr. Patrick Washington officiated. Burial was in Harris Chapel MB Church Cemetery. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a son, DeQuentis Scruggs of Corinth; three sisters, Casynette Hoyle (Raymond) of Ashland, Debra Ann Crane (James) of Holly Springs, Jennifer Brown of Lamar; seven brothers, Freddie B. Johnson, Ellis Lewis Johnson and Dwight Johnson, all of Holly Springs, Frank Johnson of Memphis, Tenn., Sylvester Mark Johnson (Ruthie) of Chulahoma, Trence Johnson and Larry Johnson, both of Ashland; a longtime companion, Carrie Sharp; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Quency Scruggs; a daughter, Sharon Powell Davis; and a brother, Casey Powell.
