Richard Earl Dowdy, 61, of Byhalia, died December 22, 2021, at his home. He was employed at Standard Construction until his retirement.
A visitation was held from 4-6 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home.
He leaves his wife, Juanita; four children, Orlando Martin of Byhalia, Alesia Alexander of Holly Springs, Kendrick Hern, Kanita Dowdy, both of Byhalia; two stepsons, Andra Sanders, Jeffrey Sanders; three sisters, Mildred Franklin (Phedorvis), Tongia Tunstall (Chris), both of Byhalia, Vickie Mosley (Mario) of Olive Branch; two brothers, Michael Dowdy (Annie) and Dexter Dowdy (Joyce), both of Byhalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, D.C. and Willie Dowdy; two brothers, James and Raymond Dowdy.
