Rev. Robert Charles Brown

Rev. Robert Charles Brown, 59, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Lamar, died Oct. 11, 2019, at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis. He was a member of Sand Hill MB Church in Lamar, a retired U.S. Army Veteran, associate pastor at Do You Believe Outreach Ministries and pastor of St. Paul MB Church in Memphis.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 25, from 2-6 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home; and Oct. 26, from 10-10:55 a.m. at Sand Hill MB Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Darrell Mays will officiate. Burial will be in West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Tues., Oct. 29, at 11 a.m.

He leaves his wife, Francine Hine Stewart Brown; one daughter, Laura Brown of Holly Springs; three sons, Michael Stewart, Jonathan Stewart, Nicholas Stewart, all of Memphis; two sisters, Georgia Ann Brown of Memphis, Kennie Brown Pritchard of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, Eugene Brown Sr. of Lamar; and four grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Brown and Frances Hampton Brown; sisters, Stella, Clara, Della and Lee Frances; brothers, Mack, Howard, William, Roy, and Bruce.
