Rev. Claudell D. Miller

Rev. Claudell D. Miller, 91, of Holly Springs, died Dec. 3, 2016, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a 33rd Degree Mason, a Shriner, a retired pastor, on the board of education and alderman for the City of Winona. He retired as a United Methodist minister in 1989.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Dec. 9 from 2-7 p.m. and with the family from 6-7 p.m. and at the auditorium Dec. 10 from 12:30 to 1:25 p.m.

Services will be held Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Rust College, Doxey Auditorium with burial in Hill Crest Cemetery. Rev. Fred H. Brown will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Georgia Austin Miller; two children, Wardell Miller of Holly Springs, Claudia Miller of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Alice Jackson, Dorothy Matthews, both of Cleveland, Ohio; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Miller-Beck.
