Ras Sherman Pickens Jr., 70, of Oxford, died Sept. 21, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. He was director of education for Management Training Corp., and was employed at the Marshall County Correctional Facility in Holly Springs.
Services were held at 12 noon on Sept. 28 at Union Grove MB Church in Clarksdale, with burial in the church cemetery. L. Hodges Funeral Services of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves he leaves his spouse of 43 years, Ruby; son, Clint (Sherronda) of Farmington Hills, Mich.; daughter LaSundra of Birmingham, Mich.; son, Kenneth of Houston, Texas; son, Brandon (Danielle) of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Ronald (Alice) of Jackson; and five granddaughters.
