Randy Shantez "Snoody" Matthews

Randy Shantez "Snoody" Matthews, 32, of Ashland, died Dec. 8, 2019, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was a member of Greenwood MB Church in Lamar, a graduate of Ashland High School and Northeast Mississippi Community College. He was a builder of race car motors, self-employed at Automotive Mechanic, Just Fix It Racing.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 15, at Ashland High School Auditorium. Dr. Patrick Washington officiated. Burial was in Greenwood MB Church Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his mother, Michelle Matthews of Ashland; father, John "Cheese" Matthews of Ashland; one sister, Shametra Matthews of Ashland; two brothers, John Matthews Jr. and Terrance Matthews of Ashland.
