Prentiss Gene Wooten Sr.

Prentiss Gene Wooten Sr., 63, of Holly Springs, died June 7, 2022, at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. He worked for over 20 years at Standard/Marina Parking and at Crystal Health Care in Key West, Fla. He was a member of Strickland Chapel United Methodist Church in Byhalia.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. on June 25 at Faulkner Park in Holly Springs. Burial was in Strickland United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Mason officiated.

He leaves his wife, Constance Bennett-Wooten; sons, Shamon Daugtery (Chereda) of Holly Springs, Prentiss Wooten Jr. (Aisha) of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Niakita Wooten of Chicago, Ill.; stepdaughters, Marshundra Cardona (Luis) of Chicago, Ebony Alesha Coleman of Aurora, Ill.; stepson, Christopher Bennett (Lashenia) of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Barbara Thomas (Russell), Sadie King, both of Horn Lake, Audrey Wooten of Chicago, Shirley Fitts (Dewayne) of Byhalia, Sweetie B. Wooten of Holly Springs; brothers, Eddie Wooten (Mae) of Holly Springs, Ron Wooten (Sadie) of Homestead, Fla.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Prentiss Wooten and Arine Falkner Wooten.
