Pauline Glover Lewellen

Pauline Glover Lewellen, 89, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died January 6, 2026, at Methodist Germantown Hospital. She was a former member of Hopewell No. 2 MB Church and a member of Union Baptist Church where she served on the mother board, kitchen committee and in the choir. She was retired from National Bed in Memphis.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan.16 from 3-5:30 p.m. and on Jan. 17 at Hopewell No. 2 MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Arthur Lee Pearson Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves a daughter, Emmie Jean Bogan of Memphis; sister, Barbara Snow of Holly Springs; caregivers, Paula Pigeon, Mozell Taylor, both of Memphis, Gwendolen Pearson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 greatgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Lewellen; son, James Lewellen; siblings, Andrew Glover, Ellis Glover, Willie B. Glover, Lucille Harris and Rosie Crumb.
