Otis Mychal Jeffries

Otis Mychal Jeffries, 54, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 29, 2017, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Ark of Safety Outreach Ministries in Red Banks, a church usher, usher president, choir director, a 1980 graduate of Holly Springs High School and a 1988 graduate of Rust College. He was a former kitchen supervisor at a correctional facility.

Visitation will be Feb. 3 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home, and at the auditorium Feb. 4 from 10-10:55 a.m.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 4 at Rust College Doxey Auditorium with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Pastor Bruce Williams will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a niece and nephew he raised as his own, April Jeffries, Johneil Jeffries, both of Holly Springs; five sisters, Grace Clayborn, Karen Jeffries, Gloria Jeffries, Brenda James, all of Holly Springs, Gussie Delbridge of Detroit, Mich.; and four brothers, Douglas Faulkner of Holly Springs, Sammie Lee Faulkner, Melvin Faulkner, both of Cleveland, Ohio, and Anthony Gatewood of Nashville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert “Bubba” Delbridge and Celia Mae Jeffries, and siblings, Celestine Vinson, Diane Delbridge, Fletcher Faulkner Jr., Herbert Delbridge and Donnell Delbridge.
