Oscar Bowen Jr.

Oscar Bowen Jr., 68, of Holly Springs, died February 20, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven. He was a former member of Providence MB Church and a retired employee with the City of Holly Springs and Byhalia Brick & Tile.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Feb. 28 from 2-5:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Mar. 1 at Adolphus Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Holly Springs. Rev. Billy Williams will officiate.

He leaves his daughters, Jameaka Black (James) of Olive Branch, Alicia Adams of Byhalia; mother, Lizzie Campbell Bowen of Holly Springs; sisters, Gloria Phillips of Holly Springs, Velma Pegues of Kansas City, Kan., Shirley Jones of Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, James Edward Bowen, Albert Bowen, both of Holly Springs, David Wayne Bowen of Waterford; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Bowen Sr.; siblings, Terrance "Terry" Bowen and Audrey Bowen.
