Ophelia Thompson

Ophelia Thompson, 81, of Hickory Flat, died May 3, 2020, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. The widow of Lee Thompson, she was a member of Winborn United Methodist Church. She was a retired teacher after 30+ years at Hickory Flat Attendance Center.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on May 6 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Benton County. A memorial service is planned for a later date. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two sons, Nick Thompson (Mary) of Hickory Flat, Dr. Mike Thompson (Terry) of Holly Springs; a daughter, Rev. Cheryl Farr of Meridian; seven grandsons, one granddaughter, and three great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Dawson Thompson and a son-in-law, Rev. Clay Farr.
