Opatria Pryor
Opatria Pryor, 100, of Holly Springs, died November 24, 2025, at her home in the Laws Hill Community. She was a member of New Hope MB Church where she served on the mother board. She was retired from ICS Headstart.
Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 5 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. And on Dec. 6 at New Hope MB Church from 10-10:55 a.m. With services at 11 a.m. Rev. Thomas Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She leaves her daughters, Bobbie Campbell of Batavia, Ill., Betty Guy of Fort Wayne Ind., Freedonia Jones, Mary Shaw, both of Holly Springs; sons, R.C. Pryor, S.T. Pryor, both of Aurora, Ill., Ivory Pryor of Holly Springs, Willie Pryor of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 31 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. “Red” Pryor Sr.; children, J.R. Pryor Jr., A.D. Pryor and baby boy Pryor; siblings, Everlean James, Florine Brunson, Marie Gaiter, and Willie Hubert Wells.
