Onnie Mae Richard Washington

Onnie Mae Richard Washington, 73, of Ashland, died July 1, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS in Oxford. She was a member of Greenwood MB Church in Lamar where she was in the church choir, served as assistant church secretary, and a member of the mothers' board. She was a former factory worker at Hoover Company.

Graveside services where held at 10 a.m. on July 6 at Greenwood MB Church Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Patrick Washington officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, John A. Washington; four daughters, Patricia Wright of Holly Springs, Deborah Kimmons, Joyce Abram, both of Ashland, Brenda Whitehead of Pontotoc; two sons, John Washington of New Albany, Rodney Washington of Ashland; six sisters, Shirley Sanders of Batesville, Archie Fondren, Vera Richard, Mildred Richard, all of Memphis, Tenn., Helen Thompson, Elmira Watson, both of Ashland; three brothers, Hosie Richard, Fred Richard Jr., both of Memphis; Leroy Richard of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Clardy.
