Olander "Stan The Man" Stanback

Olander "Stan The Man" Stanback, 73, of Byhalia, died Dec. 6, 2020, at his home. He was a member of Isaac Chapel CME Church in Byhalia and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a retired maintenance man for Chicago Transit Authority.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 12 from 3-5 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Dec. 13 at Stanback Family Cemetery in Byhalia. Rev. James Taylor will officiate.

He leaves his wife, Willye L. Flowers Stanback; two daughters, Melody Stanback Brunson of Byhalia, Jacqueline Flowers of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, Larry Flowers of Chicago, Ill., Christopher Stanback of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Charlye Mae Bradley of Detroit, Mich., Ruby Stanback, Patricia Stanback, Carole Jean Seiferth, all of Memphis; one brother, Dewayne Benson of Chicago; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
