Odessa M. Jones-Smith

Odessa M. Jones-Smith, 79, of Memphis, Tenn., died Oct. 16, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. The widow of L.W. Smith, she was a member of Mt. Pisgah CME Church and later joined Murchison Tabernacle CME Church. She was employed with General Motors Company until her retirement. She was a member of Medinah Court No. 15 in St. Louis, Mo.
Services were held at 12 noon on Oct. 25, at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Piperton, Tenn.
She leaves two sons, Harold D. Jones (Catherine) of Byhalia, Darell M. Jones of Memphis; one sister, Mary E. Mitchell of Memphis; 15 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Akasha Grace.
