Nellie Pearl Hunt

Nellie Pearl Hunt, 58, of Lamar, died June 11, 2017, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on June 18 at St. Luke COGIC in Ashland, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Nathaniel Holleman Jr. officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband of 38 years,  Jimmy Dale Hunt Jr.; three children, Bryan (Shunika) Hunt of Michigan City, Lashanda (Kevin) Reaves of Holly Springs, Shawanda Caldwell of Lamar; her mother, Bobbie Mae Williams; three stepchildren, Terill (Shakika) Jackson, Cassandra Reaves, Lakendra Williams, all of Bolivar, Tenn.; four sisters, Patricia Williams of New Albany, Lorene (Johnny Ray) Smith of Michigan City, Helen Williams, Linda Tallie, all of Ashland; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Williams.
