Naomi Jones Oliver

Naomi Jones Oliver, 83, of Byhalia, formerly of Oakland, Calif., died Aug. 11, 2018, at her home.  She was a member of Open Heart Spiritual Center in Memphis, Tenn.; and the Homemakers Association of Marshall County. She was a retired supervisor for the Social Services Division in Alameda County, Oakland.

Visitation was Aug. 17 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Aug. 18 from 9-9:55 a.m. at the church.

Services were held at Awakening Church in Holly Springs at 10 a.m. on Aug. 18. Rev. John Gilmore officiated. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Charles Oliver; three children, Kelvin Duane Oliver of Olive Branch, Wilda Gail Cook of Cordova, Tenn., April Faye Long of Byhalia; a sister, Gwendolyn McClarty  Parks of Aurora, Ill.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
