Moznnia Guy Ellis

Moznnia Guy Ellis, 94, of Byhalia, died March 14, 2022, at her home. She was a member of Newell Chapel CME Church in Victoria where she served as a church stewardess. She was a homemaker.

Graveside services were held at 12 noon on March 23 at Newell Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Nelson, pastor, officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves nine daughters, Arlene Caldwell of Nashville, Tenn., Betty Washington, Mozella Webb, Katie Woods, Gracie Ellis, all of Byhalia, Bertha Hinton of Olive Branch, Gale Hardin of Southaven, Peggy Jones of Chulahoma, Evangulin Tunstall of Victoria; three sisters, Fannie Mae Guy of Chulahoma, Margarett Guy of Holly Springs, Catherine Haywood of Memphis, Tenn.; 55 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 10 greatgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ellis; daughters, Minister Mary Banks, Linda Ellis; sons, Cecil Guy, Joe Ellis Jr., Jerry Ellis, Ulysses Grant Ellis, and Robert Ellis.
