Morstine Faulkner Vaughn

Morstine Faulkner Vaughn, 83, of Holly Springs, died September 3, 2025, at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of Greenwood MB Church where she sang in the choir and was on the food committee. She was retired from Emerson Electric in Oxford.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Sept. 12 from 3-6 p.m. and on Sept. 13 at Smith Grove MB Church from12-12:55 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. Rev. Ronnie Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves her daughters, Ruby Kelly of Lawrenceville, Ga., Nettie Vaughn of Holly Springs, Shirley Phillips of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Freddie B. Faulkner, Booker Vaughn III, both of Holly Springs; sister, Ellen Jean Smith of Holly Springs; brother, Frank Faulkner Jr. of Inglewood, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Booker T. Vaughn; son, Roosevelt Faulkner; siblings, Minnie Harris, Eddie Lee Faulkner, James Faulkner, Celestine Faulkner, Vaulia Mae Jeffries and Mattie Magnolia Smith.
