Morris "Blade" Echols

Morris "Blade" Echols, 68, of Holly Springs, died January 22, 2023, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehab Center. He worked at Memphis Light Gas and Water and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 27 from 3-6 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Cottrell Memorial Garden on Jan. 28 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Tony Wilkins will officiate.

He leaves his sisters, Mae Ressie Echols of Aurora, Ill., Thelma Martin of Holly Springs, Iolia Rayford of Aurora, Annie Jonoc-Davis of Holly Springs, Dorothy B. Echols of Aurora; brothers, John Wesley Echols of Memphis and John Herbert Echols of Holly Springs.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Telisha Thomas; parents, Robert and Jannie Lee Echols; siblings, R.J. Echols, Roosevelt Echols, Curtis Echols, and Bobby Lee Echols.
