Minister Robert Earl Jones

Minister Robert Earl Jones, 76, of Byhalia, died Oct. 23, 2019, at his home. The widower of Darlean Wilson Jones, he was a member of Hearn Grove MB Church where he served as an associate minister. He was a self-employed construction worker.

Visitation will be held Nov. 1, from 2-7 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home; and Nov. 2, from 1:30-2:25 p.m. at Hearn Grove MB Church. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Archie Bowen will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves seven daughters, LaKesha Mays and Carla Yarbrough, both of Olive Branch, Trena Wiseman of Collierville, Tenn., Jackie Milam, LaTosha Richmond, Tammy Richmond, all of Byhalia, Telisa Stokes of Memphis, Tenn.; five sons, Thetis Jones of Dacula, Ga., Gerald Jones of Atlanta, Ga., Mario Jones and John Wilson, both of Byhalia, Corderio Buford of Seattle, Wash.; three sisters, Katie Jones of Hattiesburg, Janie Yarbrough and Earnestine Jones, both of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Frank Jones and Alonzo Jones, both of Byhalia, Emmitt Jones of Newark, N.J.; and 38 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four siblings, Robert Jones, Ray Lee Jones, Gordon Jones and Blanche Jones.
