Minister Oliver Anthony

Minister Oliver “Oop Boy” Anthony Sr., 65, of Byhalia, died June 19, 2017.  

Services were held at 1 p.m. on June 25 at Hearn Grove MB Church in Byhalia. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pastor Archie Bowen officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Delois Anthony; daughters Octavia Anthony-Mitchell (Corbin) of Memphis, Tenn., Paris Anthony of Tupelo, April Anthony of Memphis; two stepdaughters, Monica Biles, April Jones (William), both of Memphis; four sisters, Bobbie Anthony of Memphis, Anner Marr (Andrew), Angela Pye (Kenny), both of Byhalia, LaShonda Smith of Olive Branch; seven brothers, Charles Anthony (Bessie) of Byhalia, James Anthony (Carol) of Red Banks, Theodore Anthony of Memphis, S.T. Anthony (Bobbie) of Memphis, Clarence Anthony (Shermaine) of Flugville, Texas, Phillip Anthony (Michelle) of Killeen, Texas, Willie Anthony Sr.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a son, Oliver Quinton Anthony Jr.
