Michael "Lulu" Elliott

Michael "Lulu" Elliott, 64, of Holly Springs, died Jan. 24, 2019, at Memphis VA Medical Center. He was a member of Oak Grove Church, a 1973 graduate of Holly Springs High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a former employee of the Marshall County School System.

Visitation will be held Feb. 1 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Feb. 2 from 9 to 9:55 a.m. at the church.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 2 at Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial will be in New Hope CME Church Cemetery in Red Banks. Rev. Zachery Beasley and Rev. Keith Mason will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves two daughters, Audrianna Elliott of Holly Springs, Rebecca Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters, Carolyn Newsom Jones of Holly Springs, Jean Elliott Greene, of Aurora, Ill., Cathy Elliott Brittenum, Valerie Elliott, Vivian Elliott Davis, all of Holly Springs; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Newsom and Harry "Bully" Elliott.
