Melvina Gatewood Luellen

Melvina Gatewood Luellen, 73, of Memphis, Tenn., died Oct. 3, 2018, at her home. She was a retired head clerk for Kroger.

Visitation will be Oct. 11, 2-7 p.m. and with family from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home; and at the church on Oct. 12 from 11 to 11:55 a.m.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Oct. 12 at Isom Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Michael Adams will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Jimmy Luellen Jr.; two children, Vicki Luellan, Kimberly Harden, both of Memphis; a sister, Earnestine Boyd of Memphis; two brothers, Larry Gatewood of Holly Springs, Randy Gatewood of Collierville, Tenn.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Dorothy Hampton Lucinda Johnson, Gwendolyn Gatewood, Jodie Gatewood and Cornell Gatewood.
