Melvin Antonio Smith

Melvin Antonio Smith, 35, of Holly Springs, died June 20, 2017, on Hwy. 4 West. He attended New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries. He was a machine operator at Winchester Inc. in Oxford.

Visitation was held June 28 from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and will be held at the church on June 29 from 10-10:55 a.m.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on June 29 at Yarbrough Chapel CME Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. J.W. Smith Jr. will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He leaves two daughters, Alaysia Smith, Faniya Smith, both of Holly Springs; a son, LaDarrius Smith of Holly Springs; his mother, Larnetida Smith of Holly Springs; his father, Melvin Humphreys of Coldwater; five sisters, Jelissa Smith, Ravin Smith, Penelope Smith, all of Holly Springs, Letitia Mosley of Coldwater, Natasha Sharp of  Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, Demarcus Sharp of Coldwater, Alvin Sharp of Memphis, Courtney Sharp, Cornehus Sharp, both of Hurst, Texas; and a special mother, Anissa Boles of Oxford.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Mae Smith.
