Maurice Walker

Maurice Walker, 55, of Holly Springs, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died January 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He was a member of Mt. Moriah MB Church where he served as an honorary deacon. He was a lead welder at Smith Griffin Armor in Byhalia.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 at Mt. Moriah MB Church. Rev. Dr. R.J. Wilson officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Marie Jeffries Walker; children, Marculus Walker, Jasmyne Walker, both of Memphis, Jayian Jeffries of Holly Springs; mother, Myrtle Marie Bester of Memphis; grandchildren, Jalaya Jeffries, Hahari Jeffries, Malaysia Sanders, Malyk Sanders of Memphis; sisters, Constance Cage, Vivian Terry, both of Memphis; and brother, Chris Walker of Memphis.
