Maurice Pickens, 84, of Holly Springs, formerly of New Albany, died Oct. 2, 2018, at Holly Springs Health and Rehab. She was a childcare provider.
Visitation will be Oct. 12 from 4-7 p.m. and with family from 5-7 p.m. at Serenity Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 13 at New Birth Community Church in New Albany, with burial in Gerizum Cemetery in Myrtle.
She leaves two sons, Willie Frank Pickens (Hannah) of Myrtle, Holden Pickens (Shirley) of Holly Springs; a daughter, Peggie Ann Westmoreland of New Albany; two sisters, Sarah Rutherford of Blue Mountain and Louise Rutherford of Aurora, Ill.; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
