Mattie Pearl Richmond Porter

Mattie Pearl Richmond Porter, 81, of Holly Springs, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died August 13, 2023, at Great Oaks Rehab and Health Center in Byhalia. She was a member of Yarbrough Chapel CME Church and was in the food service industry.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on August 18 from 1-3 p.m. and at Yarbrough Chapel Church from 4-6 p.m., and on August 19 from 2-2:55 p.m. with services at 3 p.m. Rev. Tony Wilkins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She leaves her daughters, Linda Walker of Olive Branch, Shirley Mabry of Holly Springs; son, Roger Porter of Memphis; sisters, Annie Edwards of Memphis, Rosemary Jackson of Collierville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Ruther Sims, Tony Mabry, Gennie Crane; siblings, Geneva Phillips, Soldon Richmond Jr. and Oscar Richmond.
