Mary Sue Simmons

Mary Sue Simmons, 70, died Dec. 17, 2018, at her home in Byhalia. The widow of Loyd Frank Simmons Sr., she was a Baptist and a homemaker.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 21, at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial was in New Garden Cemetery in Coldwater.
She leaves three daughters, Tammy Faye Simmons of Byhalia, Rhonda Kaye Bartlett (Shannon) of Byhalia, Teresa Denise James (Mark Ricker) of Michigan City; one brother, Charles Wilson Akins (Becky) of La.; one sister, Margie Ann Sanders of Byhalia; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Loyd Frank Simmons Jr.; a grandchild, Tommy L. Simmons; one brother, Mark Anthony Akins; sisters, Wilma Cornell, Helen Joyner and Debra Jo Spencer.
