Mary Ann Booker Simmons

Mary Ann Booker Simmons, 68, of Holly Springs, died August 28, 2019, at her home. She attended True Vine MB Church and Powell Chapel MB Church. She was a retired quality control inspector for Carrier Corp.

Visitation will be held Sept. 6 from 2-6 p.m. at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home, and Sept. 7, from 10-10:55 a.m. at True Vine MB Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Ricky Sharp will officiate.

She leaves two daughters, Armelia Young of Memphis, Tenn., LaToya Denise Simmons of Holly Springs; one son, Cedric Simmons of Holly Springs; her mother, Mamie Booker Woods of Whiteville, Tenn.; one brother, Stanley Woods of Memphis; three sisters, Linda Taylor of Whiteville, Betty Tate of Memphis, and Delores “Dolly” Joiner of Zurich, Switzerland; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Wayne Woods.
