Mary Alice Balfour-Hayes, 62, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died Sept. 23, 2017, at Regional One Health Center in Memphis. She was a housekeeper in the hotel/motel industry.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 30 at Georgia Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial was on Oct. 2 at Greenwood MB Church Cemetery in Lamar. Rev. Steevon R. Hunter officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her husband Harold Hayes; a daughter, Brenda Denise Balfour of Holly Springs; a sister, Susan “Peaches” Balfour of Pearl; a brother, Willie James Balfour of Memphis; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
