Margaretta Ruth Moore

Margaretta Ruth Moore, 79, of Holly Springs, died March 7, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Holly Springs. She was a former member of Newell Chapel CME Church in Victoria, a retired farmer and a homemaker.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on March 14 at Newell Chapel Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Bruce Williams officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral  Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves seven daughters, Shirley Hughes of Red Banks, Peggy McKinney of Chulahoma, Mary Ann Moore, Gracie Moore, Mary Louise Pegues, Margarett Moore Vassar, Martini Moore, all of Holly Springs; three sons, Mark Moore, James Moore, both of Red Banks, Fredrick Moore of Holly Springs; a sister, Minnie Mae Neely of Holly Springs; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Shun D. Moore.
