Margaret Louise “Margie” Crum Ormon

Margaret Louise “Margie” Crum Ormon, 93, of Hickory Flat, died May 20, 2017, at her home. The widow of S.E. Ormon, she  was a homemaker, worked on the family farm and was a Head Start teacher. She graduated with honors from Blue Mountain College in 1980 and taught for 10 years at Ashland Elementary School and Hickory Flat Attendance Center.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 23 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves eight children Charlie Orman (Kay) of Collierville, Tenn., Gail Mills (Clinton) of Hickory Flat, Mark Ormon (Teena) of Hickory Flat, Clark Ormon (Miriam) of Hickory Flat, Judy Ward (Greg) of Ripley; Louise Stanton (Jacky) of Hickory Flat, Paul Ormon (Maria) of New Albany and Jane Steele (Robby) of Hickory Flat; 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; and two special caregivers, Dorothy Allen and Debra Britt.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers and five sisters.
