Marble Pegues McNeil

Marble Pegues McNeil, 93, of Holly Springs, died December 26, 2025, at her home in the Lake Center community. She was a member of Mt. Teamer CME Church where she served on the missionary board. She was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Jan. 2, 2026, from 2-5 p.m. and on Jan. 3 at Anderson Chapel CME Church from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Lexine Smith will be the eulogist and Rev. Eric Shields will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Teamer Church Cemetery.

She leaves her daughters, Ruthie Shepherd, Loretta Dawkins, both of Aurora, Ill., Juanita Lumpkin, Clara Williams, Pearline Taylor, all of Holly Springs; sons, James McNeil of Walls, Willie Earl McNeil, Ivan McNeil, both of Holly Springs; sister, Lillian Walton of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, David Walton of Chicago, Ill.; 24 grandchildren and a host of great and greatgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin McNeil; children, Martin McNeil Jr., Gloria Jean McNeil, Robert Lee McNeil; siblings, Edward Walton, Eugene Walton, Betty Jean Turnage, Frank Walton, Percy Walton, Luther Walton, Lura Stinson, Opal Willis, Poger Walton, Mozella Walton and Remella Glover.
