Malinda Forest Johnson, 111, of Byhalia, died Aug. 21, 2020, at Alliance Health Care System in Holly Springs. The widow of James Curtis Johnson Sr., she was a member of Isaac Chapel CME Church of Byhalia where she served as the oldest missionary in the church. She was a homemaker.
Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Aug. 29 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 29 at Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. Rev. Byron Barnes will officiate.
She leaves a son, James C. Johnson Jr. of Sacramento, Calif. She was preceded in death by sons, Milton Johnson, Alonzo Johnson, Ivory Johnson and Leon Johnson.
