Maggie Lean Mason Ayers

Maggie Lean Mason Ayers, 78, of Lamar, died October 11, 2021, at her home. She was a member of Hebron MB Church where she served on the mothers' board and was a former choir member. She was a homemaker.

Services were held at 12 noon on Oct. 17 at Hebron MB Church in Michigan City. Pastor Andre Williams officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves four daughters, Brenda Tucker of Holly Springs, Sarah Mbodj of Memphis, Tenn., Angela Clayton of Holly Springs, Markeshia Ayers of Lamar; two sons, Gregory Ayers of Memphis, Gary Ayers of Lamar; four sisters, Cora Hampton of Memphis, Elma Allen, Shirley Griffin, both of Holly Springs; Linda Cleveland of Memphis; four brothers, Bishop L.T. Mason of Memphis, L.G. Mason of Lamar, Troy Mason of Holly Springs, Freddie Reaves of Memphis; 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thelma Franklin Ayers; and son, Grant Ayers.
