Lynwood Isom Jones

Lynwood Isom Jones, 84, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Slayden, died January 16, 2024, at her home. She was a member of Hudsonville CME Church and retired from Bluff City Furniture.

Visitation will be held at Hudsonville CME Church on Jan. 28 from 10-10:45 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Bobby Wilson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Roberts Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Slayden. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a daughter, Lynda C. Harris of Memphis; sons, Lee Earl Jones, Ronald Edward Jones, both of Memphis; sisters, Verlean Buntyn, Christine Sharpe, Victoria Jenkins, Geneva Porter, all of Memphis; brothers, Charles Isom of Slayden, Clyde Isom of Corinth, Curtis Isom, Grady Isom, Fred Isom, all of Memphis; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Lee Jones; siblings, Mae Lovie Isom, Rittie Jean Burke, Abe Isom Jr. and John Lewis Isom.
