Lyla Moore McAlexander

Lyla Moore McAlexander, 63, of Holly Springs, died August 9, 2024. She was a member of First Methodist Church and in marketing and advertisement sales.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 14 at Byhalia Methodist Church. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Doug McAlexander; daughters, Georgia Vinzant Baker (Dave) of Savannah, Ga., Maggie Vinzant of Chattanooga, Tenn., Stephanie Vinzant of Memphis, Tenn.; stepsons, Zack McAlexander (Jessie) of Olive Branch, Zane McAlexander (Karen) of Hernando; stepdaughter, Zoe McAlexander of Covington, La.; sister, Susan Moore Bonds (Bobby) of Byhalia; brother, D. Rook Moore III (Marie) of Little Rock, Ark.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dudley Rook Moore Jr. and Frances Newsom Moore; and sister, Ellen Moore Gammon.
