L.V. Norton Sr.

L.V. Norton Sr., 93, of Ashland, died July 4, 2023, at Resthaven Health and Rehab Center in Ripley. He was a member of St. Luke C.O.G.I.C. in Ashland and a retired custodian for Peps Inc.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on July 11 at St. Luke Church of God in Christ. Pastor Nathaniel Holleman Jr. officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Lucy Mae Norton; daughters, Roberta Norton of Ripley, Linda Mae Mason, Camella Norton, Betty Jean Herman, Gail Reaves, all of Ashland; sons, Albert Norton, L.V. Norton Jr., both of Ashland, James Louis Norton of Ripley, Caster Lee Norton of Red Banks, John Robert Norton, Randy Campbell, Anthony Watkins, all of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Charlene Harris of Ashland, Mattie Norton, Gertha Lee Norton, both of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Cleveland “June” Norton of Chicago, Jimmy Louis Norton of Memphis, Lester James Norton of New Albany; several grand, great and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his children, Dickie Norton, Dee Norton; siblings, Lonnie B. Norton, Melba Lee Williams and Alice Mae Mathis.
