Lukie Mae Williams Hill

Lukie Mae Williams Hill, 85, of Ashland, died June 23, 2020, at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs. The widow of Johnny R. Hill, she was a member of Hardaway Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a senior choir member and on the mothers' board. She later was the founder of St. Luke Church of God in Christ in Ashland. She was employed with the Benton County Schools for 31 years before retiring to the ministry.

A private service was held at St. James Church of God in Christ in Grand Junction, Tenn. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves five daughters, JoAnne Strickland (Sammy), Ruthie B. Hill, both of Ashland, Johnnie Ann Scales, Lukie M. Taylor (LaRoy), both of Olive Branch, Dorothy T. Conway of Bartlett, Tenn.; two sons, Larry G. Hill (Sharron) of Ashland, Johnny R. Hill Jr. (Carolyn) of Corinth; three sisters, Jennie Mae Anderson, Bernice Beard, both of Jackson, Tenn., Betty Rivers of Hickory Valley, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
