Lowrance Byrd

Lowrance Byrd, 76, of Lamar, died July 27, 2021, at his home. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church were he served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the Mississippi National Guard and a farmer.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on July 29 at Boot Hill Cemetery in Lamar. Ripley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Virginia Allen Byrd; son, Gary Byrd (Missy) of Lamar; two sisters, Connie Skelton (J.W.), Sarah Hicks (Bennie), both of Ashland; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Byrd, Allen Byrd and Bob Byrd.
