Louise Venney Patterson

Louise Venney Patterson, 86, of Lamar, died January 3, 2023, at St. Frances Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member and first lady of Foundation of Life Church and Christian Center in Lamar where she served as church mother. She was a homemaker.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 8 at Foundation of Life Church and Christian Center. Minister Ray Patterson officiated. Burial was in Foundation of Life Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Rev. James T. Patterson; daughters, Tamika Jackson of Arlington, Tenn., Michelle Cochran of Chattanooga, Tenn., Brenda Williams of Huntsville, Ala., Mary Patterson of Memphis; sons, Willie Patterson of Piperton, Tenn., Floyd Patterson of Memphis, Ray Patterson of Olive Branch, Bradley Patterson of Lamar, Samiour Patterson of Frisco, Texas, Joseph Patterson of Huntsville; 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Linda Kay Patterson, Brenda Jean Patterson; siblings, Curtis Venney and Jessie Bell Hudson.
