Louise Delores Taylor Plaxico

Louise Delores Taylor Plaxico, 95, of Waterford, died Jan. 13, 2020, at her home. The widow of Robert Lee Plaxico, she was a member of Mt. Teamer CME Church. She was a member of MEA, NEA, Heroines of Jericho Court #38, National Council of Negro Women, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Upsilon Chapter, and Marshall County Federated Improvement Club. She was a retired teacher from the Holly Springs School District.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 18 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries in Holly Springs. Rev. Gwendolyn Nelson officiated. Burial was in Mt. Teamer CME Church Cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves 10 children, Kenneth C. (Minnie) Jarrett of Memphis, Tenn., Kerma P. Jarrett Knox of Hemet, Calif., Ktherenia A. Plaxico Walker of Waterford, Pierre L. Plaxico of Waterford, Rochell L. Plaxico of Tinley Park, Ill., Chester M. (Kimberly) Plaxico of Chicago, Ill., Frozay M. Plaxico of Hungary, Edekia C. Plaxico (Lawrence) Nall of Chicago, Dr. Irma J. Plaxico of Matteson, Ill., Sharon C. Plaxico (Michael) Brooks of Atlanta, Ga.; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and eight greatgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children, Howard B. Jarrett Jr., and Raphael Plaxico; siblings, Prentiss B. Taylor Sr., Pearl Taylor Richmond Mosley, Chester Taylor, Kasper Bolton (K.B.) Taylor, Arthur Garfield Taylor Jr., and Mary Taylor Jeffries Turner.
