Loretha Snow Mathis

Loretha Snow Mathis, 70, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 27, 2017, at her home. The widow of Joe Willie Mathis, she was a homemaker.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Kimbrough Chapel MB Church in Lamar, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. J.W. Smith Jr. officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves three daughters, Loretta Strickland, Shirley Mathis, Shelia Williamson, all of Holly Springs; two sons, Willie Lewis Mathis of Granite, Ill., Willie James Mathis of Holly Springs; five sisters, Eveline Isom, Earnestine Crawford, Clara Nunnally, Helen Smith and Queen Norman, all of Holly Springs; five brothers, Fred Snow, Lloyd Snow, Willie Snow, Odell Snow, Obie Snow, all of Holly Springs; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, J.W. Snow.
