Lorene Campbell Washington

Lorene Campbell Washington, 75, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Collierville, Tenn., died July 7, 2017, at St. Peter Villa Nursing Home in Memphis. She was a member of the Cathedral of God Holy Word Temple and a former member of Sand Hill MB Church. She was employed by Holiday Inn as a sous chef

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on July 14 at the funeral home and on July 15 at the church, from 10-10:55  a.m.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on July 15 at Mt. Moriah East Baptist Church, 1248 Haynes Street, Memphis. Burial will be in Roberts Chapel CME Cemetery in Slayden. Rev. Shelby Washington  will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves four children, Dorothy (James) Williams of Memphis, James (Adrienne) Washington of Collierville, Albert Washington Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tracey Washington of Memphis; four siblings, Celia Mae Reynolds of Holly Springs, Georgia Mae Jackson of Oxford, Brodie Campbell Jr. of Lamar, Minister John Lee Isom of Holly Springs; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hattie Washington Bullard and a sister, Mary Wilburn.
