Lora Mae "Spanky" Buffington

Lora Mae "Spanky" Buffington, 60, of Waterford, died December 8, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was a member of Hamilton Chapel CME Church and retired from Emerson Electric.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on Dec. 16 from 3-6 p.m. and on Dec. 17 at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries from 10-10:55 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. Rev. Billy Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Hamilton Chapel CME Church Cemetery in Waterford.

She leaves her daughters, Lamonica Ingram, Shakena Buffington, both of Waterford; sisters, Betty Greer of Como, Louise Wells of Waterford, Rosie Mitchell of Laws Hill, Georgia Richmond of Waterford, Lowise Jones, Lillian Dean, Johnnie Mae Buford, all of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Fred Falkner, David Buffington, both of Waterford, Earl Talley Jr. and Carl Anderson, both of Memphis, Tenn.; one grandson; and her financé, Cecil W. Ingram of Waterford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Eugene Talley Sr. and Maggie Pearl Falkner; and sister Shirley Ann Buffington.
