Linda George Powell

Linda George Powell, 59, of Memphis, Tenn.,
formerly of Holly Springs, died July 13, 2023, at Methodist Germantown Hospital. She was retired from Memphis Shelby County Schools.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on July 21 from 3-6 p.m. and at New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries on July 22 from 1:30-2:25 p.m. with services at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Leverne Malone will officiate. Burial will be in Cottrell Memorial Garden.

She leaves her husband, Johnnie E. Powell of Memphis; daughters, Marketa George, Aundrea Martin, Lateakus Powell, all of Memphis; sons, Terence Paige, Johnnie Powell Jr., Sherod Powell, all of Memphis; father, Willie Morris Bowen of Holly Springs; sisters, Mary George, Carol Higgins, both of Memphis; brothers, Henry Jones, Oscar George, Richard George, all of Memphis; and 14 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, LeRoy Powell; mother, Francis L. Patterson; and sister, Irene Woods.
