Levester Alexander Campbell

Levester Alexander Campbell, 84, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died June 25, 2024, at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. She was a member of Pleasant Hill CME Church where she served on the church stewardess board, as a Sunday school teacher, finance secretary, and in the choir. She was a retired counselor for the Shelby County School System.

Services were held at 12 noon on July 2 at Pleasant Hill CME Church in Mt. Pleasant. Rev. Willie E. Hoey officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, Lemarcus Titus Campbell, (Tonya) of Grand Prairie, Texas; brothers, Phillip Alexander of Lubbock, Texas, Perry Alexander (Debra) of Columbus, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Icephine A. Wise and Bertree Alexander Jr.
