Lester G. Jones

Lester G. Jones, 79, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Holly Springs, died February 27, 2023, at his home. He was a member of Smith Grove MB Church and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Co.

Visitation will be held at J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home on March 9 from 3-6 p.m. and on March 10 at Smith Grove MB Church from 12-12:55 p.m. with services at 1 p.m. Rev. Albroderick Neely will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Arwillie Rayford Jones; daughters, Lesley Turner of Holly Springs, Lucy K. Ford of Memphis, Tenn., Rachel Nkollo of Fort Worth, Texas, Rosie Williamson of Holly Springs; son, Randy Shipp of Holly Springs; brothers, Levi Jones of Gary, Ind., Oscar Jones of Memphis, Dation Jones of Holly Springs, Mack Jones of Gary; sisters, Vera King, Cathy Butler, both of Holly Springs, Josephine Brown of Memphis; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Minnie E. Campbell, James Edward Jones and Lee E. Jones.
